Brian teaches many styles of yoga, including Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin, Acro yoga, even paddleboard yoga in the summer! His classes all contain elements of breath, playfulness and control of movement. Through all of his teachings he simply hopes his students come away with a better understanding of their own ability, physically and mentally. The emphasis throughout his classes is simple: yoga is truly about union. Be it with the divine, between body and breath or you and your Acro Yoga partner!
A certified Personal Trainer and Yoga Instructor, Melissa has a great love for the mechanics of the human body. Her yoga journey began in 2006, when a friend gifted her a week pass to a studio in New York. With the right teachers, she fell in love with the new growth and balance she found. However, it was while grieving several personal losses that she discovered her true need for yoga’s healing. Through inquiry, movement and meditation, her love and dedication to yoga deepened.
Melissa taught and practiced yoga for the entirety of her pregnancy, and used her meditation and strength to give birth to a beautiful baby boy. Her background in injury prevention, pre and post-natal yoga, and her love of chanting and music combine to bring a sweetness and approachability to her teaching.
of any kind gives us an opportunity to explore communication, trust, strength, grace and balance in a playful, artful and inspiring way. Through these practices we can learn to give honestly, receive truthfully, and communicate clearly. Our classes and workshops include many facets of yoga, pair yoga with explorative tools, and desire to bring people together through yoga. They all offer us the chance to build on our strengths, strengthen our weaknesses, and break free of the bonds that hold us back from creating powerful and positive relationships (with ourselves and others).
